In 2002 Werner Huch sold his shares in Weha-Edelstahl GmbH. This successful entrepreneur spoke to FocusRostfrei/StainlessSteelFocus about what was behind the idea of him “coming back” in 2004 and founding HW-INOX GmbH.
Werner Huch: “After selling the shares, I of course enjoyed a two-year break. I was always happy to be an entrepreneur and although I was never particularly a “workaholic”, stainless steel distribution was always one of my passions. I therefore kept in touch with the sector and two stainless steel producers motivated me in 2004 to set up a new company concentrating on the supply of quarto products. Market analysis at the time indicated that there should be adequate scope in this area for a “newcomer”! I nevertheless somewhat underestimated the task. However, after the start-up phase I had the right team around me and developed the concept further.”
